St. Ursula School Academic Excellence

Academic Excellence

Academic excellence is a priority at St. Ursula School. Yearly, students in kindergarten through eight take the Terra Nova Tests in academic subjects and grades five and eight take a religion test. Our students consistently score above the national norms on standardized tests. And the longer a child stays at St. Ursula, the higher above the national average each student scores. The small class size enables dedicated teachers to work closely with students to challenge, support and reinforce learning. We are proud to publish our results. Our class average test results are shown to the right.

The report summaries are prepared at the Computerized Assessments and Learning, LLC (CAL)in cooperation with the Department of Religious Education at the NCEA. This tool helps educators know where the strengths and weaknesses are in their catechetical programs.   All levels are aligned to the six tasks of catechesis outlined in the General Directory for Catechesis and are assessed.
