St. Ursula School Dress Code
St. Ursula School is a Catholic school that maintains the right to
establish a uniform dress code for its students. It is recognized that proper
school attire and good grooming are conducive to a student's educational and
social development.
This Dress Code was developed:
to promote a Christian atmosphere
to free children for academic concentration
to de-emphasize competition among children regarding
clothing
to allow more economical dress for school, and
provide some choice to accommodate individual
differences.
This Dress Code is required of all students in grades kindergarten through
eighth grade. This policy is intended to maintain a standard of dress that is
neat, economical, modest and attractive.

Boys Dress Code
Dress slacks or walking shorts – navy or khaki
Knit polo-style, plain oxford-style, or turtleneck shirts –red, white or navy
Church
days: White shirts only
Dress shoes or clean tennis shoes. For safety and health concerns, shoes must
be tied at all times and socks must be worn.
Girls Dress Code
Jumpers, skirts, and skorts – must be St. Ursula plaid purchased from Schoolbelles
Slacks & walking shorts – navy or khaki
Knit polo-style, broadcloth, plain oxford-style, or turtleneck shirts– red,
white or navy
Church days: White shirts only
Dress shoes or clean tennis shoes. For safety and health concerns,
shoes must be tied at all times and socks or stockings must be worn.
Boys / Girls Gym Uniform
T-shirt or sweatshirt – red or white (with the St. Ursula Logo or
plain)
Shorts, sweatpants, or wind pants – red or navy (with the St. Ursula Logo or
plain)
Tennis shoes
Dress Code Guidelines for All
Hair is to be neatly combed and attractive in appearance.
Hats, scarves or sweatbands are not permitted during class time.
Students should not use hair spray, spray perfumes or aerosol cans while in
school.
Students are permitted to wear uniform shorts from April 1st to November 1st.

Cargo pants / shorts
Pants / Shorts with outside pockets
Carpenter pants / shorts
Pants / Shorts with rivets
Bone-colored pants/shorts
