into their classrooms at the end of January and the workers have completed
installation of all of the safety features. The campus is now enclosed in a
fence and all of the ramps have been installed.

Nothing But Blue Skies
Wednesday, January 23, 3:00 p.m. -- All the classrooms have been
placed and one class has had desks moved in! Workers are hooking up the
utilities and constructing a fence to safely contain the area. The abatement
continues in the cafeteria, CCD office and Music Room.
St. Ursula Students Say Thanks!
A banner is being created under the direction of our art teacher to
present to St. Richard Parish on Sunday, Februaury 3, at 10:00 mass.
Weather Tolerant
Tuesday, January 22 , 10:00 a.m. Despite the frigid
temperature and snow, the workers are moving the modular classrooms into place.
According to Father Dorsey, the first were moved beginning at 7:00 Monday
evening. Fireman and flares managed and directed traffic while the buildings
crossed Duncan Ave. and were taken up the hill to the parking lots.
The pictures speak for themselves
St. Richard has a large space in its social hall which works well for
the students. The kindergartners sit a little tall in the adult size chairs, but
have the benefit of large round tables to do their work. Teachers have
whiteboards and can thumbtack their work on the partition boards. The
restoration company efficiently unloaded boxes to each room. Every class was
given a tour to point out restrooms (spacious and modern) and fire exits.
Everyone was cooperative and respectful. One visitor even took out a cell
phone, called and friend and said 'listen'. The friend said that he could not
hear anything. The caller said that was the point. Can you believe that there
are over 150 students in the hall and you cannot hear anything?!
Working on the Lord's Day .... for a Good Cause
Construction site for the modular classrooms is
constantly ongoing and changing. Pictures here were taken at 12:30 p.m. on
Sunday, January 13. The parking lot is being excavated, dirt and asphalt is
being removed making way for the sand, gravel and cement blocks for installation
of the classrooms. Trenches have been dug for the septic system and a wall and
utility poles are in place for the electricity. The classrooms have been
delivered to the lower lot and will be moved when the site is ready.
